Wanted to make it along but had friends staying the weekend. Tried to kick them out early so I could ride but they were having too much fun. Unlikely that I’ll make it along on Tuesday but I’ll try.

Nick Welsh and I did about 22 miles last night (Tuesday) against a cold wind. This must be worth it … surely? Wondering where the rest of the Cambridge Posse was …

Had three of us out on Sunday, Steve, Alasdair C et moi. We did somewhere in the region of 35 miles at an average speed of 15mph … we’re getting better.

    Roll on the warm weather.

Hi all- great to discover this site- cheers for all the useful training tips. Its been a while since I have been cycling regularly- changing jobs and no longer cycling a 12 mile round trip to work every day makes a big difference! I think I’m rather behind the training schedule compared to you Cambridge lot, but have just been out for the afternoon with my younger brother doing what we thought was about a 30 mile route- really struggled against the wind, so took ages, but have just measured on google map odometer (a brilliant on line tool for those who have not yet discovered it) to find we actually did 48 miles, so feeling a bit better about my loss of fitness. Really looking forward to being on the road with you all again- happy training, see you soon!

Today was a great day for biking and most of us enjoyed. I say most because one of us was having trouble with his gears and then his Ball bearings starting playing up…We did about 30 miles I was told and all got home safely in one piece. I was still struggling with my spd’s and found out it’s always better to find a strip of grass to figure out how to get my feet out !

Hopefully a few more will come out next sunday…

BTW – I’ve booked myself into the Travelodge nr. Liverpool St. Station on Friday 28th – just a short walk from the Amos Trust office where we all start off from on the Saturday morning.

Hi NIck, would you mind charing the cost and your room with me and Steve ?
I’ve noticed the price doesn’t change if there’s 1,2 or 3 blooks in the room ?
